FSBI Membership
Why Join The FSBI?
Membership to the FSBI offers a number of professional advantages, which include eligibility for a variety of grants as well as subsidized access to the Society’s journal. This sponsorship has been a benefit to persons from around the globe.
As a member of the Society you will receive:
- 20 issues of The Journal of Fish Biology a year. These comprise twelve regular issues, six Molecular and Cell Science issues and the two Special Issues, one of which is the proceedings from the annual FSBI conference.
- Eligibility to apply for small Research Grants (for sums up to £5000 pounds sterling), including a special grant for retired members (for sums up to £6000 pounds sterling)
- Eligibility to apply for Travel Grants (up to £1000 pounds sterling).
- Eligibility to apply for postgraduate Studentships.
- Eligibility to apply for Sponsorship of activities related to the Society's objectives.
- A quarterly newsletter.
The Society also sponsors the annual conference, which means that all participants, members and non-members alike, benefit from lower registration fees.
JOINING THE SOCIETY
Two levels of membership are available:
Associate Membership available to all registered students and to retired persons.
Full Membership available to those in employment, or to retired persons who wish to enjoy all membership rights including at the FSBI Annual General Meeting.
