What is FSBI Sponsorship?
In addition to postgraduate studentships, research and travel grants, and internships, the FSBI will consider applications for financial support of other activities or initiatives that support or promote the Society’s objectives.
The FSBI can offer sponsorship grants of up to £5,000 to fund events or activities that support or promote fish biology and fisheries science. These can include workshops, small meetings, scientific sessions at conferences, symposia, and other such initiatives. The sponsorship grants are not for individual research, travel or training, or for outreach activities, which are supported by other specific FSBI granting schemes.
In 2021 the FSBI helped sponsor the award winning science documentary "Secret Life of Basking Sharks".

In doing so, we can highlight the many worthy projects that receive our charitable funding.

We aim to achieve the highest standard, maintained through the good will and dedication of the council (who are the charity trustees) for the FSBI. We are always interested to hear member feedback, and are pleased to attend the Annual Symposium to ensure we stay in touch with all those concerned.
