Getting to Leicester

There is excellent information on how to reach the University by car, bus, train and air on the University website. Click on Map and Transport at the bottom of the page. All the information, including links, can be found here.

If you are flying into one of the London airports the trains for Leicester leave from St Pancras Railway Station across the road from Kings Cross Station.

When you arrive in Leicester you will be going not to the main University campus but to the John Foster Hall in Oadby where en-suite accommodation can be found and registration will take place on Monday afternoon from 14.00-18.30 hours. The standard accommodation is just across the road in the Gilbert Murray Stamford Hall.

The residential accommodation is located in Oadby which is off the London Road just 2 miles South East of the city centre [see map].
