Getting There Here is the best site for finding directions on how to reach Exeter University. You will find maps of the campus, road, rail, and air links. You will see from this site that Exeter has its own airport but I would also urge you to look at Bristol Airport as well as it also has international flights. Bristol is a short train ride to Exeter. Besides these two airports there are, of course, Heathrow and Gatwick airports and you will find information on these on the British Airport Authority site. You should note that arriving at any of these Airports you will need to get from the airport to the train or coach station i.e. from Heathrow and Gatwick you will need to go to Paddington Station in London to catch a train or Victoria Coach Station to catch a bus. Heathrow is the only airport directly linked to central London by the Underground (Piccadilly Line). It takes approximately 1 hour to Kings Cross Railway Station. You will need to change to the Hammersmith & City or Circle Line going West to Paddington Station for the train to Exeter. Buy a single ticket from Heathrow to Paddington and it will cost you £4.00. Also from Heathrow - the
Heathrow
Express (operating every 15 minutes) will take you directly to Paddington
Station in 15 minutes. You can buy your ticket in 3 different ways: Car Rental There are a number of car rental firms which operate in the UK. Below
is a list of just some of them: It may also be of assistance to you in arranging your journey to use The AA as they have an excellent route planner and maps. Quick Access to Useful links: British Airport Authority
